For our Global Business Process Excellence team we are looking for a Business Analyst (f / m / d) .

As a Business Analyst, you will support the Global Process Owners (GPOs) with the analysis, design, and improvement of processes in Plant Maintenance (PM) and Production Planning (Produce-to-Stock), with a strong focus on inventory management and optimization.

You will contribute to identifying and addressing inefficiencies in stock processes, applying data mining and analytics to uncover patterns, support decision-making, and propose actionable improvements. With a background in SAP and an interest in process optimization, you will help ensure that inventory and production processes are aligned with business requirements and optimized for cost efficiency and reliability.

This position is located in Heidelberg and you will directly report to the Head of Procurement Business Transformation.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

Close collaboration with the Global Process Owners and group departments (Competence Center Cement, Digital)

Support the development of efficient business processes and policies by providing data-driven insights and identifying optimization opportunities.

Apply data mining and analytics to detect process inefficiencies, monitor KPIs, and propose improvements for inventory optimization, plant maintenance and production planning.

Assist in aligning business needs with SAP S / 4HANA functionality and contribute to process harmonization across systems.

Support testing, validation, and rollout of process-related solutions and software tools.

Contribute to training and knowledge-sharing activities to support end users in adopting new processes and tools.

Prepare business cases, solution proposals, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Participate in cross-functional meetings and workshops, facilitating discussions between business and IT.

Willingness to travel to business offices as appropriate and as necessary.

YOUR PROFILE
Education / Qualification

University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field

1–3 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or data-driven roles

Interest and knowledge in SAP systems (ECC, ideally S / 4HANA; experience with PM and PP modules is a plus)

Familiarity with data mining / data analytics tools (e.g., Celonis) and curiosity for new technologies

Business Competence

Solid understanding of inventory management and / or production processes, ideally in a manufacturing or cement industry context

Very good verbal and written communication skills in English
