A leading research institution in Germany is seeking a Building Services Engineer at the Hannover site. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable functioning of technical building equipment and managing the maintenance of various systems. Applicants should have experience in building services and the ability to work independently while collaborating with different teams. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the scientific operations of the center.

The CiiM was founded in 2015 as a joint initiative of the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) and Hannover Medical School (MHH) and is the first research institute dedicated explicitly to the development of personalized medicine for infections.
In your role as a building services engineer at the Hannover site, you will ensure the reliable functioning of the technical building equipment, thereby making a key contribution to the safe and smooth running of scientific operations. The new CiiM building is expected to be ready for use in May 2026. In the final months of completion, you will work with colleagues from Braunschweig to take over and transfer the technical structures into regular operation. Integrated into the operational structures of the HZI in Braunschweig, you will then independently take over the maintenance, servicing, and repair of heating, ventilation, sanitation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and electrical systems during regular operation. As the contact person for technical building services and janitorial tasks, you will work in close coordination with the site management in Hanover, colleagues on site and in Braunschweig, colleagues from the neighboring TWINCORE, external specialist companies, and the scientific working groups.
