GROPYUS is recruiting a Building Physics Engineer to drive the building physics aspects of its timber-based, offsite constructed residential system. You will work with Design Engineering, Planning, Production, and other teams to ensure early integration of building physics requirements in a cost-efficient, compliant way.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Building Physics, Civil Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Proven professional experience in thermal building physics.
• Strong expertise in thermal insulation, moisture protection, and energy-efficient building design.
• Solid knowledge of standards, guidelines, and building physics calculation methods.
• Proficiency with Hottgenroth, Psi-Therm, and WUFI.
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Fluent German (written and spoken).
• Fluent English desired.

About the role

As a Building Physics Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, assessment, and optimisation of our building system from a building physics perspective. You will ensure that building physics requirements are considered at an early stage and implemented in a technically sound, cost-effective, and compliant manner.

Working closely with Design Engineering, Planning, Production, and other specialist departments, you will actively contribute to the further development of system solutions, standards, and technical details.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise the building system with a focus on thermal building physics
• Perform and evaluate thermal, moisture, and hygrothermal calculations, verifications, and simulations
• Develop and assess building physics construction details and building component assemblies
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
• Provide technical guidance to Planning, Design Engineering, and Production on building physics matters
• Further develop standards, system solutions, and building physics concepts to improve energy efficiency

About you

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Building Physics, Civil Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline
• Proven professional experience in the field of thermal building physics
• Strong expertise in thermal insulation, moisture protection, and energy-efficient building design
• Solid knowledge of relevant standards, guidelines, and building physics calculation and simulation methods
• Proficiency with Hottgenroth, Psi-Therm, and WUFI
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration with Planning, Design Engineering, and Production teams
• Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken
