Overview

BP&A Business Partner (SM) role at BD. We are seeking a highly skilled BP&A Business Unit (BU) Partner to join our SM team. This role is pivotal in implementing BP&A practices within the Business Unit, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data, and partnering with various stakeholders to optimize financial performance and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Implement FP&A practices: Develop and execute FP&A best practices within the BU, focusing on simplification and standardization.
• FP&A calendar management: Communicate and manage the FP&A calendar through BU Hub organizations.
• Financial reporting: Oversee the BU P&L’s and reports, including those segmented by Hub, EMEA, WW package, etc.
• Collaboration with analysts: Work closely with BP&A BU Analysts and SGA Analysts on respective financial areas.
• Data accuracy: Ensure the completeness and accuracy of data provided to stakeholders.
• P&L monitoring: Support the BU Controller in monitoring P&L performance.
• Stakeholder communication: Liaise with Country Business Leader, SGA Analysts and Comm Ops Analysts regarding Revenue, GP and SGA performance.
• Supply chain coordination: Collaborate with the Supply Chain Team on inventory and shipping-related matters.
• Financial partnering: Partner with Country Business Leaders (CBLs) in preparing and validating financials as well as driving value through close collaboration.
• Strategic meetings: Conduct calls and meetings with CBLs for ASR, Budget, and Projection preparation, ensuring target alignment. Provide advice on action plans and track progress.
• Monthly financial reviews: Engage in calls and meetings with CBLs for month-end close (MEC) purposes.
• Risk & opportunities: Identify and manage country/hub-specific risks and opportunities.
• Cross-finance projects: Participate in BU-specific cross-finance projects, evaluating P&L and ROI of initiatives.
• Value discovery: Identify and capitalize on value opportunities within the BU.
