Job summary

EMnify GmbH is seeking a Senior Billing and Collections Manager to oversee the end-to-end AR process in a fast-growing tech environment in Berlin. You will manage invoicing, collections, VAT compliance, and data integrity while collaborating with Sales, Customer Management and the Billing Dev team.

The role demands strong communication, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to process improvements in a multinational, largely remote team.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in billing, payments, or accounting.
• Experience in billing and collections with VAT knowledge.
• Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and reliable with solution focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable processes including invoicing.
• Oversee payment collection and reconciliations.
• Ensure correct VAT and sales tax application.
• Perform credit checks on new customers.
• Maintain up-to-date customer data.
• Coordinate with Sales, Customer Management and Billing teams.
• Monitor AR ageing and identify risks.
• Prepare monthly revenue reporting and insights.
• Implement internal controls for billing quality.
• Suggest and implement end-to-end process improvements.

Your Role

We seek a highly motivated Billing and Collections (Senior) Manager.

Your Impact

• Manage the accounts receivables process, including invoicing, payment collection, and reconciliations.
• Ensure the correct application of VAT and other sales taxes.
• Perform credit checks on new customers and keep customer data up to date.
• Liaising with customers ensuring payments are received on a timely basis.
• Monitor accounts receivables ageing to identify potential risks.
• Ensure periodic accurate and timely financial statements in the AR area.
• Produce monthly revenue reporting and provide insights, according to management needs.
• Implement and run internal controls for quality assurance of the billing and collections process.
• Be a point of contact for Sales, Customer Management, Billing Dev team, and external stakeholders like PSPs and auditors.
• Suggest and implement end-to-end process improvements.

Your Skills

• Extensive professional experience in billing, payments or accounting, preferably in a technology or telecom company.
• Proven experience in managing billing and collections, including practical knowledge of VAT regulations and cash collection.
• Excellent communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders, including debtors.
• Attention to detail, reliable, solution-oriented.
