Your Future Role

Our Siegen site is an international competence centre for bogies. 800 colleagues develop, manufacture, test and repair bogies for global rail traffic, ensuring stability and comfort on the tracks. Our product line "Rolling Stock & Components" offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission‑free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to the Bid Manager Components and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

Responsibilities
  • Elaborate offers for our Bogies & Drives products, being responsible for scope, cost and planning.
  • Manage cross‑functional bid teams with participants from procurement, engineering, manufacturing and other departments.
  • Increase the competitiveness of your offers in terms of cost, time‑to‑market and performance.
  • Lead your offers through the Alstom bid process with reporting to top management.
  • Enforce risk & opportunity management as well as adherence to the offer budget.
  • Collaborate with product management and central platform functions.
Qualifications
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field.
  • 5 years of experience in the railway industry, preferably in bid management, engineering or costing functions.
  • Very good English skills and proficiency in German.
  • Good communication skills and reporting capabilities.
  • High level of interest in cost calculations.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel – desirable.
