Job summary

Citi in Frankfurt is seeking Full-Time Analysts for the Commercial Bank division. The program starts in July 2027, offering in-depth training with hands-on experience across sales, credit, product, technology and professional skills, plus mentorship to evolve into banking leaders globally.

Analysts will conduct company research, model financials, support lending, and develop client presentations while collaborating with bankers and product teams across Citi’s network.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills are essential.

• Expected to achieve a 2:3 or lower at undergraduate level.

Responsibilities

• Conduct company research and industry analysis.

• Support the commercial lending process including secured and unsecured lines of credit and loans.
• Take ownership of the client experience by partnering with bankers and product teams to determine products to leverage.
• Assist in deal management and client presentations, including decks and memos.
• Interact with partners across the firm (product, credit risk, in-business controls, legal, marketing, operations, risk, compliance, and technology).

Citi’s Commercial Bank (“CCB”) is looking for Full‑Time Analysts to join our team. Our Commercial Banking division works with businesses with annual sales ranging from $10 million to more than $3billion. Our Commercial Banking Team works to find ways for our clients to maximize their growth while taking full advantage of Citi’s banking products. That means knowing all about our deposit and lending, as well as our cash management, trade, FX (foreign exchange) and capital markets solutions. The Full‑Time Analyst Program strives to bring in the best and brightest talent and support them as they develop into the next generation of commercial banking leaders globally.

The Full Analyst Program starts in July 2027 and begins with in‑depth training. People learn differently, so we combine formal training with complete hands‑on experience to help you quickly ramp up and adapt to your role and the culture at Citi. There will be ongoing sales, credit, product, technology, and professional skills training throughout the program along with a robust junior and senior mentorship structure to help you develop professionally.

By the conclusion of the Program, you can expect to have thorough experience with and a strong understanding of:

• The CCB target market, value proposition, and client coverage model
• How bankers interact with clients and identify their needs
• The various credit product types and how these solutions best fit client needs
• The commercial loan underwriting process, including loan structuring and documentation
• The end‑to‑end credit process including new origination of credit and the monitoring of an assigned credit portfolio
• Engaging with clients, prospects, and centers of influence
• Citi credit and regulatory policies and procedures

Analysts play a critical role in meeting the needs of our clients and prospects, including:

• Conducting company research and industry analysis
• Analysing financial data and performing financial modelling focused on company valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, and pro‑forma analyses
• Supporting the commercial lending process, which includes secured and unsecured revolving lines of credit, term loans, syndicated loans, leveraged loans, cross‑border loans approved locally and extended overseas through the CCB’s global network of 26 countries
• Taking ownership of the client experience, including partnering with Bankers and Product teams to determine which products to leverage in order to help clients achieve their goals
• Playing a role in deal management and client presentation preparation, including creating business development presentations, pitch books, prospect memos, and other client‑related decks
• Interacting with partners across the firm, including product, credit risk, in‑business controls, legal, marketing, operations, risk, compliance, and technology teams

• Expected to achieve or have achieved a 2,3 or lower at undergraduate level in any degree discipline.
