Jobtailor in Berlin is seeking a PHP developer to contribute to the B2B Educator Tool from conception to completion, applying best practices in code health and maintainability.

You will work with cross-functional teams across the full web development lifecycle and use Claude Code alongside agentic workflows to explore, implement, test and review code. English communication is essential; a valid work permit is required.

Requirements

• Solid hands-on experience with PHP and at least one modern framework such as Symfony, Slim, or Laravel, plus MySQL


• Solid experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or similar, with exposure to agentic engineering workflows


• Experience across the web development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance


• Exposure to requirements analysis and system design is a plus


• Experience building and integrating GraphQL and/or RESTful APIs


• Experience with relational database design


• Familiarity with SOLID principles, clean code, and common design patterns


• Proficient in Git, including branching, merging, and code review processes


• Good problem-solving and analytical skills


• Good verbal and written communication skills in English, with ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different stakeholders


• Curiosity and interest in optimizing processes and learning the domain's ins and outs


• Initiative, analytical mindset, proactive and solution-oriented approach
