Moody's Investors Service in Frankfurt is seeking a senior credit analyst to lead bank and financial institution ratings across the EMEA region. You will assess performance, regulatory changes, and risks, delivering timely rating recommendations.

Qualifikationen

• Build relationships with issuers, investors, and market participants through meetings and inquiries.
• Produce high-quality research, sector commentary, and thought leadership on emerging trends.
• Represent Moody’s at industry events and conferences to enhance market presence.
• Collaborate with Moody’s Ratings and partner teams to deliver analytical excellence and consistent outcomes.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance analytical processes and drive efficiency.

Skills and Competencies

• Proven credit/risk assessment experience including strong financial analysis experience, likely to be gained from a financial institution, regulator or accounting firm
• Understanding of European banks and their regulatory environment and the key issues affecting these markets/the main financial institutions and key industry drivers
• Excellent communication skills - able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing with some public speaking experience
• Strong quantitative aptitude and proven analytical skills
• Fluency in German and English is essential, additional language skills would be highly beneficial
• Highly organised and efficient, with the ability to multi-task and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
• Good understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can improve processes and drive efficiency

Key Responsibilities

Lead the credit analysis of banks and other financial institutions across the EMEA region, ensuring accurate and timely rating recommendations in line with Moody’s methodologies.

• Monitor assigned credits on an ongoing basis, assessing financial performance, business developments, regulatory changes, and emerging risks that may impact credit quality
• Prepare and present analytical conclusions for Rating Committees, contributing thoughtful insight and sound judgment to rating decisions
• Develop a strong understanding of the European banking sector, including key institutions, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks influencing credit profiles
• Build and maintain effective relationships with issuers, investors, and other market participants through meetings, presentations, and responses to analytical enquiries
• Produce high-quality research, sector commentary, and thought leadership that identifies emerging trends and provides valuable market insights
• Represent Moody’s externally at industry events, conferences, webinars, and other forums, enhancing the firm's reputation and market presence
• Collaborate with colleagues across Moody’s Ratings and partner teams to deliver analytical excellence, share expertise, and drive consistent rating outcomes
• Leverage AI-enabled tools, data, and digital solutions to enhance analytical processes, improve efficiency, and support innovation across the team
• Support the development of junior analysts through coaching, knowledge sharing, and mentorship while contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team culture
