Polaris Raumflugzeuge GmbH is seeking an Avionics Embedded Systems Engineer to join a dynamic startup team in Bremen. You will modify COTS flight control computer hardware and software, manage ICDs, and develop interfaces for test and flight hardware while integrating control algorithms.

Expect involvement in regulatory requirements, procurement support, and hands-on SITL/HITL test setup. Fluency in German/English and a strong aerospace/software background are ideal for this role.

Qualifikationen

• Requires aerospace or software engineering degree (BSc/MSc).
• Proficient in Python, C/C++, JavaScript.
• Basic knowledge of CAN, RS485, ARINC bus protocols.

Your mission

• Modification of existing COTS flight control computer hardware and software


• Manage flight control computer ICD and design documentation


• Development of custom software interfaces for test and flight hardware

Your profile

• Successfully completed aerospace or software engineering degree (M.Sc., M.Eng., B.Sc., B.Eng.)


• Programming skills (Python, C/C++, JavaScript)


• Basic knowledge of bus communication protocols (CAN, RS485, ARINC)


• Experience in aerospace related projects advantageous


• Work experience in a start-up environment is an advantage


• Proactive thinking, high level of motivation, flexibility, and team-working skills


• Proficiency in both German and English
