Help Build Europe's Hypersonic Capability
At Hypersonica, we’re redefining what’s possible in European defence technology. We exist to deliver speed, resilience, and technological independence at a pace that sets a new standard. We are a small, elite team working on problems that matter, and solving them fast.
By joining Hypersonica, you’re not stepping into a predefined role. You’re joining a talent dense environment where every individual shapes the direction of the company. Our philosophy is to hire a small number of exceptional people with broad, deep technical capability, strong judgement, and the ability to operate autonomously.
We hire for talent, not rigid boxes. This role represents a business need, but the way it evolves will be shaped by the individual. If you’ve achieved what others said was impossible, or you bring a unique combination of skills that doesn’t fit a traditional mould, we want to hear from you. The work you do here directly contributes to Europe’s technological independence.
What you'll do
- Own Avionics Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) delivery, ensuring avionics hardware is built, integrated, and verified correctly from component level through vehicle integration.
- Develop avionics assembly, integration, and test procedures directly from requirements and engineering drawings.
- Translate design intent into clear, executable build instructions, defining tooling, torque specifications, parts, consumables, work sequences, and verification steps.
- Define and maintain avionics wiring, harness, and pinout diagrams, ensuring correct electrical interfaces and configuration control.
- Develop and own avionics assembly procedures for components, sub‑assemblies, and vehicle‑level integration.
- Create and execute avionics test procedures, validating functionality, interfaces, and readiness prior to higher‑level integration.
- Ensure avionics AIT activities meet quality, reliability, and safety standards, suitable for aerospace and defence environments.
- Work closely with avionics design, systems, and vehicle AIT teams to resolve integration issues and close design‑for‑integration gaps.
- Identify and ensure availability of tools, fixtures, consumables, and test equipment required to support build and integration activities.
- Support production of consistent, repeatable avionics builds by enforcing process discipline and configuration control.
- Own avionics‑related non‑conformance identification, documentation, and resolution, feeding lessons learned back into design and process updates.
- Enable smooth progression from bench‑level avionics testing to vehicle‑level integration
Who you are
- An Avionics AIT Manager or Senior Avionics Integration Engineer with hands‑on experience in electronics or electrical assembly environments.
- Background in aerospace avionics manufacturing and assembly is preferred, with automotive electronics experience also acceptable.
- Experienced developing avionics wiring diagrams, harness definitions, and pinouts.
- Comfortable creating and executing avionics assembly and test procedures from engineering drawings and requirements.
- Strong understanding of electronic hardware build processes, tooling, torque control and workmanship standards.
- Detail‑oriented with a strong instinct for process discipline, quality, and repeatability.
- Comfortable working across disciplines, coordinating with design, systems and vehicle integration teams.
- Hands‑on and pragmatic, able to support build and testing activities directly when required.
- Confident managing multiple avionics workstreams and maintaining configuration control under schedule pressure.
- Motivated by taking complex avionics systems from drawings to integrated, verified, flight‑ready hardware.
