Zusammenfassung
Medical Device is seeking an hands-on Automation / Controls Engineer to own the PLC software supporting our medical-device production equipment.
You will maintain and improve control systems, troubleshoot production issues, and develop PLC software for new equipment and lines, including validation and documentation. Occasional international travel is expected.
Qualifikationen
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Controls, Mechatronics or similar.
- 5+ years' experience in industrial automation / PLC development.
- Strong hands-on PLC programming, particularly Structured Text.
- Beckhoff TwinCAT and/or CODESYS experience required.

- Own and continuously improve the PLC software and control systems for production equipment.
- Develop and maintain PLC programs including motion, safety, HMI and fieldbus communication.
- Troubleshoot PLC, electrical, sensors, actuators, drives and I/O on live production equipment.

Location: Munich, Germany - primarily on site, with occasional international travel

We are seeking a hands-on Automation / Controls Engineer to take ownership of the PLC software supporting our medical-device production equipment.
You will maintain and improve existing control systems, troubleshoot production issues, and develop PLC software for new equipment and production lines. The role combines PLC programming, electrical controls, commissioning, component selection, and validation
- Own and continuously improve the PLC software and control systems for production equipment
- Develop and maintain PLC programs, including motion, safety, HMI and fieldbus communication
- Troubleshoot PLC, electrical, sensors, actuators, drives and I/O issues on live production equipment
- Support electrical design, component selection and review of supplier designs
- Commission and validate new equipment and production lines, including occasional international travel
- Maintain software, electrical and validation documentation
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations and external suppliers
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Controls, Mechatronics, or similar
- 5+ years' experience in industrial automation / PLC development
- Strong hands-on PLC programming, particularly Structured Text
- Beckhoff TwinCAT and/or CODESYS experience required
- Good knowledge of EtherCAT, servo drives and motion control
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and ability to read electrical schematics
- Experience with EPLAN or similar is advantageous
- Good understanding of machine safety, control systems and industrial electrical standards
- Experience working on live production equipment and supporting commissioning
- Medical device, pharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing experience
- GAMP 5 / software validation
- HMI development and Git/version control
- Automated PLC testing, e.g. TcUnit
