You will evaluate AI model training and develop physics problems for AI evaluation, collaborating with AI teams to ensure rigorous model reasoning. Requires a PhD and publication record, with proficiency in LaTeX, Python, SymPy, and Jupyter. This remote 8–10 week role is 10 hours per week with compensation of $80–$110/hour.

Qualifications

• PhD in gravitation, cosmology, astroparticle physics, or closely related field.
• Verifiable publication record with arXiv IDs or DOIs.
• Proficiency in LaTeX, Python, SymPy and Jupyter.
• English ability at B2 level or higher, with clear written reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI model training and improve model outputs in research-level physics challenges.
• Develop complex physics problems and solutions in your subfield for AI model evaluation.
• Review completed work and provide structured feedback to enhance training data quality.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to ensure precision and rigor in model reasoning.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance.

Preferred

• Familiarity with an agentic coding extension in VS Code .
