Azenta Life Sciences seeks an Associate Product Manager for the Consumables and Instrument Division, focusing on medical devices. Based in Griesheim with up to 20% remote work, the 1-year fixed-term role involves leading cross-functional projects from requirements to launch and developing market entry strategies.

You will support product launches, pricing decisions, and marketing collaboration to achieve margin and revenue goals, while maintaining key metrics and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifikationen

• Scientific degree, or Engineering degree with experience in the clinical IVD sector; PhD and/or MBA is a plus.
• Experience in laboratory instrumentation industry (clinical; IVD), from a Product Management/Marketing or R&D perspective.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English with good knowledge of a second language.

Aufgaben

• Work in interdisciplinary project teams as the voice of customer through all project phases from requirements setting to launch.
• Manage product launches defined by a stage gate driven Product Development & Introduction process.
• Assess market requirements and user needs and develop market entry strategies including pricing to meet margin and revenue goals.
• Produce business cases for product opportunities as a basis for investment.
• Help develop marketing and launch plans with product marketing managers including product training for sales and other departments.
• Collaborate with Marketing to produce marketing and technical literature on time and in budget.
• Provide strategic input regarding key clinical conditions to focus on based on core competencies and available solutions.
• Product maintenance: ongoing care and support of product line, monitoring satisfaction, competitor activity, and maintaining BI database.
• Develop and maintain key metrics to measure success in all areas.
• Demonstrate Azenta Values in all activities.

We have an exciting new opportunity for an Associate Product Manager in the Consumables and Instrument Division with a focus on devices for the medical sector. Our Consumables and Instruments Product Management team at Azenta works cross functionally to actively drive the product development, defines go-to market strategies, and supports marketing and sales to enable effective product launches and budget achievement.

This role will be based in our office in Griesheim (near Darmstadt), combined with 20% home office flexibility and business travel.

The role will be project related / 1 year fix-term.

What You’ll Do

• Work in interdisciplinary project teams as the voice of customer throughout all project phases from requirements setting to the launch
• Manage product launches defined by a stage gate driven Product Development & Introduction process.
• Assess market requirements and user needs and develop market entry strategies for new products including pricing strategy to ensure delivering on margin and revenue goals
• Producing business cases for product opportunities as a basis for investment
• Help developing marketing and launch plans in collaboration with product marketing managers including product training for sales and others departments
• Work with Marketing to produce marketing and technical literature on time and in budget
• Support with strategic input regarding key clinical conditions that Azenta should focus on, based on our core competencies and based on the capabilities of currently available solutions
• Product Maintenance: ongoing care and support of product line, including monitoring customer satisfaction, competitor activity, new customer needs and sales support materials, product changes and maintaining a business intelligence database for the product portfolio
• Develop and maintain key metrics to measure success in all responsible areas

What You Will Bring

• Scientific degree, or Engineering degree with experience in the clinical IVD sector, PhD and/or MBA is a plus
• Some working experience in laboratory instrumentation industry (clinical; IVD), either from a Product Management/Marketing or R&D perspective
• Ability to travel up to 20%
• Ability to communicate effectively in a global organization
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Fluent written and spoken English, good knowledge of a second language is a plus
