Jobtailor is seeking a senior in-house Counsel to advise on federal and state laws impacting mortgage lending, financial services and employment. You will draft and negotiate commercial agreements, support underwriting guideline updates, and guide the company on technology-related legal matters.

The role requires a JD, active U.S. license, and 8+ years in financial services. You will lead governance and compliance efforts and manage external counsel in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing
• 8+ years of relevant legal experience in the financial services industry, including as an in-house counsel
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and trust across an organization
• Proven negotiation skills, business acumen and the ability to balance legal risk with commercial priorities
• Ability to maintain discretion with confidential and sensitive information
• Ability to review and maintain documentation with strong attention to detail
