Job summary

Sephora Hannover is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (m/f/x) in full time to lead a high-performing beauty team on the sales floor. You will coach staff, manage operations, plan shifts, and ensure an exceptional customer experience.

The role combines people leadership with commercial accountability in a dynamic retail environment. You bring 3–4 years in retail with a hands-on, customer-focused mindset, plus basic SAP/Excel skills and strong English language ability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4 years in retail, preferably beauty sector.
• Good knowledge of English and native language of the country.
• Basic SAP and Excel skills advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop and coach employees, including appraisals.
• Record and monitor team absenteeism; induction and training.
• Execute floor management and daily staff planning.

People

• Managing, developing and coaching employees, including employee appraisals
• Recording and maintaining team absence records
• Induction of new employees and organization of training courses
• Implementation of floor management
• Acting as a role model in the Sephora Attitude and passing on the Sephora DNA

Commercial Performance

• Responsibility for achieving monthly and annual sales targets including year-on-year sales growth
• Ensuring excellent customer service and alignment of the team with the customer
• Carrying out the morning briefing and shift handovers
• Ensure that we regularly surprise our customers, e.g. by organizing beauty classes in different areas, animating the hub and creating weekend looks
• Updating the visual merchandising and implementing updates and animations
• Ensuring order and cleanliness on the sales floor
• Analyzing the key figures for the respective sales categories and deriving sales activities
• Operations
• Creating the daily staff planning and coordinating employees on the store floor (zoning)
• Carrying out inventories to ensure optimum availability of goods
• Complete merchandise management, from receiving to proper storage, booking out, returns and tester management
• Responsibility for the proper opening and closing of the store, including cash register closing
• Reporting and tracking of maintenance and merchandise issues
• Deputizing for the Store Manager in case of absence
• Responsible for store operating according to Sephora Audit rules

KPIs

• Stock availability & replenishment efficiency
• Compliance with operational routines
• Development of the category
• Control of retail key figures such as MS, IPT, AVB, CR, number of services
• Inventory on schedule
• Additional tasks related to the daily business
