Job Description

PPA is looking for an experienced Sales Rep based in Germany, open to travel to Darmstadt office 3 days in a week.

The purpose of this role is to expand our market presence and sales focus for our lending services. A particular focus is to be placed on PPA's data sourcing services. You should have a proven track record of identifying, qualifying and closing deals with financial institutions and have access to a network in the DACH region - especially in the lending space.

Requirements include in-depth knowledge of the financial services landscape, a strong hunter mindset in sales and resilient client relationships. Experience in selling to European banks in the lending business is mandatory. Excellent presentation and negotiation skills as well as the ability to build long-term relationships with clients and internal stakeholders are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently execute high-value sales cycles in Commercial Banking; focused on data extraction
  • Identify and initiate new sales opportunities through self-acquisition and collaboration with the general sales team
  • Leverage existing networks to generate business opportunities
  • Create compelling value propositions based on customer needs
  • Negotiate and close complex contracts
  • Achieve sales targets through new customer acquisition and business expansion with existing customers
  • Services to be sold include:
  • Digitization of annual financial statements, interim reports, ESG and EU taxonomy reports
  • AI-powered credit risk search (FactXtract)

In addition, the following services can be addressed in the cross sell (among others):

  • Collateral and covenant management
  • Credit operations and technical platform optimization (e.g. Ncino, Moody's CreditLens, FIS Lending Services, Closer)
  • Data analytics, BI and technical support in credit departments
  • Other tasks:
  • C-level presentations (e.g. COO, Head of Lending, Head of Credit etc.)
  • Support from subject matter experts and pre-sales teams
  • Provide accurate forecasts and pipeline reports
  • Travel within the EMEA region

Required Background

  • - At least 10 years of professional experience
  • - University degree (Bachelor/Master) in finance, economics, engineering, marketing or similar an advantage
  • - Experience in sales or customer service in the banking sector
  • - Successful sales experience in the credit environment within Europe
  • - Very good command of English (other languages and cultural skills an advantage)
  • - Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship skills
  • - Creative problem-solving skills
  • - Ability to work independently and in a team with a high attention to detail
