Job summary

NETZSCH Pumps & Systems is seeking an Application Engineer (m/f/d) Inside Sales for the Oil & Gas Midstream/Downstream area. You will perform technical customer consulting, prepare quotations from customer specifications, and size pumps with cost calculation to tailor solutions for clients.

You will work closely with field sales, enter orders in SAP, and develop customized sales concepts while coordinating with internal departments. Some travel and trade fair participation are expected.

Qualifications

• Technical vocational training completed, ideally with further qualification as Master Craftsman or Technician or commercial training with technical focus.
• Knowledge of positive displacement pumps and oil & gas industry is a plus.
• Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Technical customer consulting and preparation of quotations based on customer specifications.
• Selection and sizing of pumps, including cost calculation.
• Development of customized sales concepts and follow-up of quotations.
• Conducting bid clarification meetings with customers on site as required.
• Negotiation of terms and conditions within defined authority.
• Support and development of existing customer base and acquisition of new customers.
• Close collaboration with field sales, subsidiaries and internal departments.
• Entry of orders into the SAP system (excluding project orders).
• Handover of reviewed project orders to the Project Execution Team.
• Participation in trade fairs and exhibitions.
• Monitoring of competitors and market developments with reporting.

• Successfully completed technical vocational training, ideally complemented by further qualification as a Master Craftsman or Technician, or completed commercial vocational training with a corresponding technical focus
• Ideally, knowledge of the design and operation of positive displacement pumps and experience in the oil & gas industry
• Strong technical understanding combined with an entrepreneurial and process-oriented mindset
• Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills
• Professional experience in an international industrial company is desirable
• Strong presentation, persuasion and negotiation skills
• Independent and responsible way of working
• Quick comprehension as well as a high degree of flexibility, commitment and teamwork
• Proficient in common MS Office applications, ideally with knowledge of SAP
• Very good written and spoken English,good German skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel occasionally
