OHB System AG in Bremen is seeking an AOCS & GNC Engineer for hardware & testing within space projects. You will perform unit to system level test activities and support satellite projects from start to customer acceptance.

The role calls for a background in aerospace/electronics engineering, 2–5 years experience, and hands-on work with Matlab, C, and possibly Python. Hybrid work options and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering degree in aerospace/mechatronics/electronics or equivalent.
• 2–5 years professional experience.
• Space domain experience with AOCS/GNC is a plus.
• Strong Matlab and C knowledge; Python or scripting is a plus.
• Experience with development boards/microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) a plus.
• Version control experience (Git/Subversion) a plus.
• Highly motivated, proactive and eager to learn.
• Excellent conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in international teams.

• Provide technical support to procurement of AOCS/GNC equipment.
• Verify and validate AOCS/GNC subsystems.
• Support satellite projects from start to customer acceptance.

• Design and develop AOCS/GNC GSE and test equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation.

AOCS & GNC Engineer Hardware & Testing (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• AOCS/GNC Test activities at unit (sensors, actuators), subsystem and system levels (integrated spacecraft)
• Technical Support to Procurement of AOCS/GNC equipment (e.g.: sensors, actuators, ground support equipment)
• Verification and Validation of AOCS/GNC subsystems
• Support to satellite projects from start to customer acceptance
• Support to satellite proposals and system studies for AOCS/GNC topics
• Specification, design and development of specific AOCS/GNC GSE and Test equipment
• Preparation of technical documentation

Your Qualifications

• Engineering, doctoral degree or comparable qualification in aerospace engineering, mechatronics engineering, electronics engineering or similar
• Professional experience of at least 2-5 years
• Experience in the space business, especially with AOCS/GNC equipment, verification and validation processes is a plus
• Good knowledge of Matlab and C programming language
• Experience with Python and/or scripting languages is a plus
• Experience with development boards and microcontrollers (e.g.: Arduino, Raspberry Pi) is a plus
• Experience with Version Control Systems (Subversion, Git) is a plus
• High motivation and proactive involvement
• Willingness to learn, grow and explore new topics
• Excellent conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in international teams
