Zusammenfassung

ALTEN Germany is seeking a space systems engineer to analyze AOCS guidance performance and evaluate mission-level error sources. You will work with AOCS simulations to compare guidance correction concepts and develop tools for performance assessment.

Ideal candidates have strong skills in spacecraft dynamics, orbital mechanics, and report-ready documentation, with a track record in space systems analysis.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Control Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Experience in AOCS, GNC, spacecraft guidance, or satellite mission analysis.
• Solid understanding of spacecraft dynamics, orbital mechanics, and attitude guidance concepts.
• Experience in simulation-based engineering and performance assessment of space systems.
• Familiar with verification and validation, performance metrics, and trade-off analyses.
• Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and communicate results in reports/presentations.

Aufgaben

• Analyze and assess AOCS guidance performance with focus on pointing accuracy and geo-orientation errors.

Job Description

• analyze and assess AOCS guidance performance, with a focus on spacecraft pointing accuracy, geo-location and geo-orientation errors
• use and enhance AOCS simulation environments to evaluate mission performance and investigate guidance correction concepts
• perform performance analyses and trade-off studies to compare alternative onboard guidance correction methods
• evaluate the impact of orbital prediction errors, including along-track and cross-track deviations, on mission and instrument performance
• develop prototype analysis tools, document technical results, and present recommendations to project stakeholders

Qualifications

• hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Control Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline
• have experience in AOCS, GNC, spacecraft guidance, or satellite mission analysis
• possess a solid understanding of spacecraft dynamics, orbital mechanics, and attitude guidance concepts
• are experienced in simulation-based engineering and performance assessment of space systems
• are familiar with verification and validation activities, performance metrics, and technical trade-off analyses
• can produce high-quality technical documentation and effectively communicate results in reports and presentations
