Job summary

Scalable Capital is seeking an AML Analyst for a fixed-term 2-year contract to review alerts, investigate potential suspicious activities, and ensure robust case documentation. You will work in a fast-growing fintech environment across our Munich or Berlin offices, applying compliance standards and risk-based decision making.

Fluency in English and German is required; prior experience in digital banking is advantageous.

• Hands-on experience in an operational AML/AFC role within banking or fintech.
• Ability to create thorough and precise case documentation.
• Confident in making risk-based decisions.
• Excellent attention to detail and proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Review alerts and conduct thorough investigations for reporting purposes.
• Specialist in transaction monitoring with strong compliance knowledge.
• Detect patterns and trends indicating money laundering or similar activity.
• Document all findings clearly and accurately.
• Experience in a neo-bank or digital banking environment is a plus.

Job Description

• You will be responsible for reviewing alerts and conducting thorough case investigations to identify potential suspicious activities for reporting purposes
• You are a specialist in transaction monitoring, with a strong understanding of compliance requirements and industry best practices
• You have the ability to detect patterns and trends indicative of money laundering, terrorist financing, or other types of suspicious activities
• You are skilled at conducting in-depth investigations when suspicious activities are identified, ensuring all findings are accurately documented
• Previous experience working in a similar position and in a neo-bank or digital banking environment is considered an advantage

This is a fixed-term position for 2 years.

Qualifications

• You bring hands-on work experience in an operational AML/AFC role or related departments within the banking or financial sector
• You excel at creating thorough and precise case documentation
• You are confident in making sound, risk-based decisions
• You effectively prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of workflows
• You are fluent in English, and German with excellent communication skills in both languages
• You have a keen eye for detail and approach your work with accuracy and diligence
• You demonstrate a proactive and motivated mindset, always striving for excellence
