A leading technology company in Berlin is seeking an experienced data engineer to implement ETL processes, optimize data models, and develop analytical solutions. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 2 years of experience. Implement ETL processes to extract transform and load data from diverse sources into our data warehouse.
Optimize data models and structures to support efficient and high-performance analytics.
Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts and other stakeholders to understand analytics requirements and translate into technical solutions.
Develop and implement analytical solutions and algorithms to derive actionable insights from large datasets.
Contribute to the design and implementation of advanced analytics models and statistical analyses.
Stay up to date on industry best practices and emerging technologies in analytics and data engineering.
Drive the adoption of best practices in data engineering processes, coding standards and documentation.
Collaborate with data architects to design and optimize data architectures that align with business goals.
Ensure the integrity, security and performance of data solutions through thorough testing and optimization.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of data dictionaries, schemas and documentation.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.
Communicate complex technical concepts and insights to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Participate in knowledge‑sharing activities within the analytics team and the broader organization.
Education Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a proven experience in related fields.
Experience 2 years of relevant work experience in analytics, data engineering or a related field.
Experience with real‑world projects that involve handling and analyzing substantial datasets.
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in analytics such as SQL, Python, R, Java or similar.
Knowledge of data manipulation, transformation, modeling, orchestration and analysis tools such as dbt, Pandas, NumPy, Spark, Airflow or similar.
Experience with data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau or Power BI.
Familiarity with database systems and querying languages (e.g. Redshift, BigQuery).
Understanding of data modeling concepts and experience with data warehousing solutions.
Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets to extract meaningful insights.
Problem‑solving skills with a focus on practical and actionable solutions.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams including data scientists, business analysts and software engineers.
Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
Experience in managing and priorit multiple tasks or projects.Ability to work within timelines and deliver results efficiently.
