The Exploration Company is seeking an AIT EVT & Thermal Engineer to ensure NYX can be integrated, tested and launched from our facilities. You will steer EVT campaigns, align propulsion, thermal, and avionics teams, and manage test procedures end-to-end.

Applicants should have a Master/PhD in mechanical engineering and 5+ years in aerospace AIT. Strong leadership and English communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with EVT campaigns is a plus.

Aufgaben

Here at The Exploration Company, we are building innovative aerospace technologies that advance the future of space transportation.

We are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refueled in orbit, and which carries cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

We want you as a talented AIT EVT & Thermal Engineer to help us in our mission by making sure that NYX can be integrated, tested and launched.

You will be successful in this role if you are able to help us:

• Collect and compile all the requirements/need to tests from different sub-systems owners
• Optimizes and Consolidate a flow of testing based on these needs
• Prepare, execute and manage the EVT (Environment Test) campaign, including integration in the test facility and conduction of the tests on our space vehicles
• Write AIT documentation prior and post integration and test activities
• Manage internal and external stakeholders (propulsion, thermal, thermal protection, avionic & power units) to perform a successful test

Key Responsibilities:

• You will manage the entire EVT Campaign, from external facility management to end of testing, including GSE definition and procurement with internal or external suppliers, test procedures writing and execution, supporting in defining the perimeters of other teams and schedule preparation.
• You will manage the mechanical, thermal and EMC/EMI test parts, being the focal point of TEC wrt the external facility.
• You will create a list of procedures detailing the assembly and mechanical setups for integration and tests (in Epsilon3, ODOO, Team Center) - being full responsible of the leading procedure of all tests.
• You will be responsible for the execution of these procedures, and we expect you to interact with other AIT engineers and technicians.
• You will be largely involved in the resolutions of anomalies happening during the integration and tests.
• You will manage the reports to be done at the end of the operations/tests.
• You will give your feedback and report on any blockage or problem during the AIT and will work to propose improvements and fixes.
• You will be supporting the Purchase of the equipment (COTS or not) needed to run the test activities (TGSE, MGSE, FGSE).
• You will collect the test requirement form different sub-system owners and Chief engineering team.

Additional Requirements:

• Versatile: in order to manage several test preparations, and being the TEC interface person among various engineering teams.
• Proficient: in following safety standards and maintaining quality control during all assembly and test operations.
• Very good system understanding, thermal and functional qualification.

Qualifications and experience

• Engineering degree (Master or PhD) in mechanical science or equivalent.
• At least 5 years experience in the AIT of aerospace vehicles.
• Experience in conducting test campaigns, a plus if an EVT campaign has already been conducted.
