Job summary

Orbital Critical Systems (Grupo CAF) in Germany seeks AIT Engineers to join on-site teams supporting Airbus projects in Immenstaad. The role covers electrical and functional testing of optical subsystems and payloads.

You will develop test procedures, procure auxiliary equipment, and perform root-cause analysis while collaborating with project teams to improve quality, schedule, and costs. Relocation support and German language training are provided, including tax support for the first year.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanic, Electrical, Aerospace or related field.
• B2/C1 English level required.
• B1 German level required.
• Citizenship of a European country required.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute electrical and functional tests for optical subsystems and payloads.
• Develop test procedures, procure auxiliary test equipment, and assess test results.
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of test anomalies with timely solutions.
• Collaborate with project teams to optimize quality, schedule and cost objectives.
• Quality and non-conformances: support investigations per QA standards.
• Tooling and infrastructure: manage and maintain test tooling.

What You Will Do

• Electrical & Functional Testing: Define and execute electrical and functional tests for optical subsystems and payloads.
• Test Equipment & Procedures: Develop test procedures, procure auxiliary test equipment, and assess test results.
• Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Investigate test anomalies, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions in time-critical environments.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to optimize quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
• Quality & Non-conformances: Support non-conformance investigations in line with company quality standards.
• Tooling & Infrastructure: Manage and maintain test tooling and infrastructure.

What We’re Looking For
