Zusammenfassung

Abakus IT-Solutions is seeking a Network Security Engineer (m/f/d) to support secure operations of critical networks in Berlin on-site. You will design and implement Cisco-based infrastructures and manage changes to firewall, router, and switch configurations.

You will monitor incidents and performance, drive improvements across LAN/WAN and cloud environments, and document all infrastructure changes for ongoing resilience.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of professional experience as a Network Engineer / Network Security Engineer.
• Experience with firewalls, routers & switches from Cisco.
• Knowledge of other vendors (Check Point, HPE, McAfee, Sophos) is a plus.

• Plan network infrastructures as part of a team and implement them using Cisco technologies.
• Oversee planning, control, modification and changes to firewalls, switches, routers and security components.
• Operate and develop the network in LAN, WAN and cloud environments; monitor incidents and performance; document changes.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for you as Network Security Engineer (m/f/d).

Work location: Berlin, Germany (on-site)

As a Network Security Engineer with expertise in Cisco infrastructures, you will support and optimise the secure operation of critical network infrastructures.

• You plan network infrastructures as part of a team and then implement them on the basis of Cisco technologies.
• You will oversee the planning, control, modification and implementation of changes to firewalls, switches, routers and security components.
• You will be responsible for the operation and further development of our network in the LAN and WAN area as well as in the cloud using state-of-the-art technologies.
• You identify and limit faults, initiate fallback and escalation procedures and initiate the necessary recovery, restart and restore procedures.
• You control and monitor the systems with regard to incidents and performance (including tuning and performance measurements).
• You document all changes/new features in the infrastructure.

Your profile:

• You have several years of professional experience as a Network Engineer / Network Security Engineer.
• You have solid experience in the field of firewalls, routers & switches from Cisco.
• Experience with other networking and security manufacturers such as Checkpoint, HPE, McAfee, Sophos, ... is an advantage.
• You have a very good command of English.
• A good command of German is considered as advantage.
