Deutsche Telekom AG is seeking an AI Software Engineer specialized in OpenStack service engineering to support the Meridian project. You will analyse control-plane components, dependencies, and interfaces, producing high-quality handover artefacts for receiving teams.

Collaborating with DevOps, testing, security, and architecture experts, you will identify technical debt and document results traceably, enabling concrete engineering backlogs while ensuring secure, scalable cloud transitions.

Qualifikationen

• - 5+ years of professional software engineering, cloud/DevOps, or handover experience.
• - Very good Python and at least one backend language (Go/Java/C/C++/Rust).
• - OpenStack-derived architectures, cloud control planes, distributed services, API interfaces.
• - Experience with AI-assisted development tools for code exploration and docs.
• - Knowledge of CI/CD, containers, Linux, and large multi-repo environments.
• - Strong analytical skills; clear, traceable technical outputs.
• - Able to collaborate with DevOps, testing, security, and architecture teams.

You will analyse modular cloud software at service level, reconstruct service boundaries and dependencies, and create a reliable basis for the technical handover to the receiving teams.Your focus will be on analysing control-plane components, API interfaces, integration dependencies, configuration models, and runtime requirements. Using AI-assisted software engineering methods, you will accelerate navigation through large, multi-repository codebases, reconstruct call flows, analyse interfaces, and create high-quality technical documentation.You will also support the diagnosis of build and test issues affecting selected services, including dependency resolution, container builds, runtime configuration, and reproducibility challenges. You will transform your findings into structured handover artefacts such as service overviews, dependency documentation, API summaries, risk analyses, and onboarding documents.Working closely with experts from DevOps, testing, security, and architecture, you will validate AI-assisted findings and translate them into concrete engineering backlog items. You will identify technical debt, maintainability risks, hidden coupling, and missing documentation.
