FACTUREE is seeking an AI Software Engineer (m/f/x) to design and build AI capabilities that power our production platform. This is production software, not model training, and you will ship reliable AI features across the stack.
You will collaborate with Engineering, Product, and QA to turn AI capabilities into production-ready services, integrations, and workflows that deliver real value to customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

- Integrate AI services into existing backend systems and product workflows
- Prototype new AI capabilities and evolve them into production-ready solutions
- Design context management, retrieval strategies, prompting approaches, and evaluation datasets
- Build evaluation pipelines, feedback loops, and quality controls for AI systems
- Monitor quality and reliability of AI-powered features in production
- Collaborate with Product and domain experts to translate business processes into AI solutions

As a AI Software Engineer (m/f/x), you will design and build AI capabilities that become an integral part of our production platform. This is not a research or model‑training role. We are looking for a software engineer who enjoys turning the latest AI capabilities into reliable, maintainable products that create real value for customers, suppliers, and our internal teams. Working closely with Engineering, Product, and QA, you will turn AI capabilities into production‑ready software that integrates seamlessly into our platform while meeting the same standards for quality, reliability, and maintainability as every other part of our system.

- Design and build AI-powered features for customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Develop LLM-powered workflows, assistants, and intelligent automation within our products
- Enable natural language interaction and AI-supported user experiences across the FACTUREE platform
- Build AI capabilities for document understanding, technical drawing analysis, structured data processing, and workflow automation
- Integrate AI services into existing backend systems and product workflows
- Prototype new AI capabilities and evolve them into reliable production-ready solutions
- Design robust context management, retrieval strategies, prompting approaches, and evaluation datasets
- Build evaluation pipelines, feedback loops, and quality controls to continuously improve AI system performance
- Monitor the quality, reliability, and effectiveness of AI-powered features in production
- Collaborate closely with Product and domain experts to translate complex business processes into practical AI solutions
- Identify limitations, risks, and failure scenarios of AI-supported workflows and implement appropriate safeguards
- Strong software engineering experience building production systems
- Experience integrating LLM APIs into production software
- Experience designing agentic workflows and AI applications that interact with external tools and services
- Strong coding skills, ideally with TypeScript and Node.js (Python experience is beneficial for tooling, experimentation, and AI ecosystems)
- Solid understanding of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, vector search, and context management
- Experience building backend services, APIs, and integrations around AI capabilities
- Experience evaluating AI systems using structured benchmarks, automated evaluation, or human feedback
- Understanding of data quality, ground truth creation, and systematic evaluation of AI outputs
- Awareness of AI-specific risks such as hallucinations, privacy, prompt injection, and excessive automation
- Experience building document and image understanding solutions using multimodal AI is a plus
- Strong ownership mentality and a pragmatic approach to problem solving
- Curiosity about emerging AI technologies combined with a solid engineering mindset
- Ability to balance experimentation with long-term maintainability
- Collaborative working style and the ability to communicate effectively across technical and business disciplines
- Ability to make pragmatic technology decisions based on business value rather than hype
- Continuous learning mindset and enthusiasm for exploring new approaches
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Build AI capabilities that are used every day in real production workflows
- Work on challenging problems involving manufacturing, sales, procurement, and workflow automation
- Help shape the future AI capabilities of an established software platform rather than building isolated prototypes
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to turn complex business processes into intuitive AI-powered experiences
- Work with modern LLMs, multimodal AI, retrieval systems, and agent-based workflows while applying them to meaningful real-world problems
