Jobtailor in Frankfurt is seeking an experienced Software Engineer with hands-on AI/ML experience to design, build and deploy AI-powered features on our Partner's stack (Angular, Node/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Azure).

You will evaluate AI services, own the AI tech stack, and work closely with product and engineering to deliver reliable, safe AI solutions that scale across customer use cases.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of Software Engineer experience with hands-on AI/ML work.
• Experience deploying ML models and data pipelines to production.
• Proficient in German and English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver AI-powered features end-to-end: from proof of concept to production on our Partner's stack (Angular, Node/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Azure).
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML services, APIs, and open-source models to solve real customer problems (document processing, root-cause analysis, ERP/MES integrations).
• Shape the AI/ML tech stack with real ownership over tools, frameworks, and architecture.
• Build and maintain eval frameworks to ensure AI outputs meet quality, reliability, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with product and engineering, identify high-impact AI opportunities, and grow AI competency across the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with proven hands-on AI/ML experience (e.g. LLM integration, data pipelines, ML model deployment).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: writing well-structured application code (not just notebooks or scripts) with modern development practices.
• Experience with modern AI/ML frameworks such as LangChain/LangGraph, vector databases, and OpenAI APIs.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and web frameworks.
• The ability to move fast from proof of concept to production, with an experimental yet methodical approach.
• Strong conceptual thinking — able to connect the dots and communicate technical trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Professional proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken).
