About the role
The AI team at Agile Robots is looking for an experienced AI/DL Engineer with a proven track record in building, training, and deploying large-scale AI models. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in generative models, having successfully deployed them in industrial or research settings. You will play a key role in shaping Agile Robots' next-generation robot learning systems and leading efforts from prototyping to deployment.
Your Responsibilities
- Model Development: Build and optimize video generation models for simulation, training data creation, and predictive applications.
- Multimodality: Build and maintain multimodal generative models integrating video, audio, text, and robot proprioception data.
- Evaluation: Design experiments and benchmark video quality against industry standards and technical requirements.
- Research Translation: Apply advances in generative modelling to improve production systems.
- Data Pipelines: Design scalable pipelines for training on large-scale video datasets.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams; communicate results for deployment and publications.
- Travel: Periodic travel to partners in the US, Europe, or China.
- Experience: 3+ years building generative video models, including conditional generation, multimodal fusion, and temporal consistency optimization.
- Architectures: Proficiency with state-of-the-art approaches (diffusion, autoregressive transformers, GANs, VAEs, DiT).
- Temporal Quality: Deep understanding of methods for temporally coherent, high-quality video generation; expertise in evaluation metrics.
- Algorithm Implementation: Ability to implement and compare state-of-the-art algorithms for spatial/temporal consistency.
- Experimentation: Experience designing benchmarks on large-scale video datasets and interpreting quality/performance metrics.
Beneficial Skills
- Domain & Rendering: Background in computer vision, 3D modeling, multimedia processing, or advanced rendering techniques.
- Deployment: Experience bringing generative models into production, including optimization for real-time inference and scalability.
- Embodied AI & World Models: Knowledge of embodied AI, robot planning, predictive modelling, and world model architectures (e.g., video transformers, recurrent state-space models).
- Integration & Sim-to-Real: Experience collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams, communicating results clearly, and working on sim-to-real transfer or robotics benchmarks (e.g., Dreamer, RT-X, Bridge V2).
