Job description

We are looking for an Automation Lead to take ownership of how AI, automation, data and technology can transform HR and people processes in a rapidly scaling organization.

The company is growing quickly and already operates at significant scale, with hundreds of employees, a high volume of hiring and increasingly complex HR processes. As the organization continues to grow, there is a huge opportunity to rethink how HR works, using technology to eliminate manual work, connect data and build scalable processes.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who doesn't need a perfectly defined roadmap. You will assess the existing landscape, identify the biggest opportunities and build the solutions yourself.

Your goal is simple: make HR significantly more scalable through automation and AI.

HR experience is not a requirement. We are particularly interested in people with strong technical and AI/automation expertise who can learn the HR context quickly.

You will:

  • Identify manual, repetitive and inefficient HR processes and turn them into automated workflows.
  • Identify and implement meaningful AI use cases across HR, Recruiting and People Operations.
  • Analyze existing HR data and systems and turn them into useful, actionable solutions.
  • Build and maintain integrations between HR systems, tools and data sources.
  • Evaluate existing tools and decide when to integrate, automate or build something from scratch.
  • Define and own the HR automation roadmap based on business impact.
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, Legal, IT leadership to understand pain points and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Build solutions yourself rather than simply managing vendors or writing requirements.
  • Create scalable infrastructure and processes that can support the company's continued growth.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong experience in AI, automation, software, data, tooling or a related technical field.
  • A track record of actually building and implementing automation solutions.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, workflows and modern AI technologies.
  • Ability to work with complex data and systems and turn them into practical solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar environments.
  • A highly hands-on and autonomous working style.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Comfortable making decisions and challenging existing assumptions.
  • Able to translate business problems into technical solutions and communicate with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in an environment where not everything is already defined.

Consulting experience can be a great fit as well — provided you have a strong track record of actually implementing what you recommend.

The mindset: You don't need someone to tell you exactly what to build.

You are the person who can walk into a complex environment, understand the data and processes, and say:

What you can expect

  • High ownership: You will have significant freedom to shape the automation strategy.
  • Visible impact: Your work will directly influence how the HR organization operates and scales.
  • Direct access to leadership: Work closely with senior HR stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Greenfield opportunities: There is already a lot of data, tooling and ideas — but significant work remains to turn this into a scalable automation ecosystem.
  • Room to grow: As the company continues to scale, the scope of this role can expand into broader AI, HR data, automation and potentially team leadership.
  • Competitive compensation: with potential additional equity depending on experience and profile.
  • 28 vacation days and flexible working options.
