Bayer in Dormagen seeks an AI Application Expert to drive digital transformation by bringing AI/ML into manufacturing. You will advise production leaders, deliver AI solutions, and ensure implementation per the Digital Roadmap.

Build data infra, train staff, and align with global strategies to improve site performance. Required: degree in CS/Data Science/Engineering, strong AI knowledge, data governance and cloud proficiency (AWS/Azure), plus excellent German and English.

In this role, you advise stakeholders from production and site leadership, deliver impactful AI solutions, and ensure implementation in line with the Digital Roadmap. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

WHO YOU ARE

• Hold a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Stand out with a strong understanding of AI technologies and their application in manufacturing and process environments
• Bring experience in data mining, data engineering, and data governance
• Apply a structured approach to complex problem-solving and concept development
• Show proven experience in stakeholder and change management as well as project leadership
• Are a strong team player with high integrity and excellent communication skills
• Bring experience maintaining cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) to support data pipelines and AI applications, plus knowledge of DevOps practices and IaC tools (including relevant internal frameworks and guidelines)
• Are proficient in German and have excellent English skills (spoken and written), and work effectively in an intercultural environment with strong lateral leadership skills
