Why This Role?

We are seeking an Aerospace Quality Engineer for a client located in Taufkirchen (Greater Munich), Germany. Our client is a renowned aerospace manufacturing company that supports missions to Mars with advanced carbon solutions and offers full-cycle composite manufacturing for space applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate aerospace quality requirements into robust process controls across development and production.
  • Plan and implement QA measures for composite high-pressure tank manufacturing.
  • Conduct risk assessments (FMEA, control plans) and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Prepare, execute, and support internal and external quality audits; maintain audit-ready documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Testing, and Engineering teams to improve yield and reduce failures.
  • Report quality metrics and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements:

Must-Haves:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Quality Planning and Risk Management in manufacturing, preferably in aerospace or composites.
  • Degree in engineering, quality management, production engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • Knowledge of relevant quality standards and their practical implementation, including experience with ISO9001.
  • Strong analytical thinking and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Process and manufacturing know-how with a clear understanding of risk potential.
  • Proficiency in German and English (minimum B2, with C1 preferred in both).

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Knowledge of standards and compliance such as AS9100 or EN9100.
  • Commitment to excellence and a track record of continuous improvement.
Experience & Education:
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant quality engineering experience.
  • University degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with risk analysis methods (FMEA, 8D), QA documentation, and general manufacturing QC tools; knowledge of composites is advantageous.

Location & Working Model:

Primary Location: Taufkirchen, Germany.
On-site work is dominant, with up to 1 day/week remote possibility. Role cannot be fully remote.
Travel requirements: approximately 10% for suppliers, customers, and audits.
