Zusammenfassung

TE Connectivity seeks an Advanced Quality Engineer to ensure compliance with APQP and PPAP during New Product Development from concept to release. You will lead FMEA activities using APIS, support MSA and process capability evaluations, and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve zero incidents.

The role requires engineering quality expertise, strong German/English communication, and a proactive, process-driven mindset in an international environment.

Qualifikationen

  • Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a comparable technical qualification with relevant professional experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English, across organizational levels.
  • Strong assertiveness and influencing skills with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal functions and external customers within the Core Team.
  • Strong analytical thinking to investigate issues, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
  • Experience in complaint handling and quality issue management throughout product lifecycle.
  • Confident in audits and audit readiness with preparation and follow-up.
  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally and personally.

Aufgaben

  • Lead APQP deliverables from project start to SOP/PPAP.
  • Coordinate with AQE and New Product Development core team.
  • Attend design reviews during concept, development and industrialize phases.
  • Interface between customer and TE on quality topics during NPD lifecycle.
  • Guide and facilitate FMEA completion using APIS, DFMEA and PFMEA per VDA/AIAG.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering with MSA and process capability evaluations.
  • Create prototype and pre-launch control plans including Safe Launch activities.
  • Promote a 0 incidents mindset and support internal/external audits.

Job Overview

The job objective is to ensure compliance with product quality specifications, customer requirements, APQP and process needs during the product and process design phase according to New-Product-Development lifecycle until the formal product and process release (incl PPAP) is achieved.

Job Requirements
  • You are responsible for all typical APQP deliverables between starting of project until the SOP (PPAP)
  • AQEs are part of an New Product Development project core team evaluating together the customer requirements
  • Attending feasibility studies in Design Reviews within the concept - , development- and industrialize phase
  • Advanced Quality Engineering (AQE) is the main interface contact related all Quality topics between customer and TE during New Product Development Lifecycle
  • Moderating, guiding the Engineering team in completion of FMEA by using Software “APIS”, Design-FMEA and Process-FMEA according to VDA/AIAG standards
  • Support and advice Manufacturing Engineering with statistical data evaluation regarding to Measurement System Analysis (MSA) with QDAS Software SOLARA
  • Support and advice Manufacturing Engineering with statistical data evaluation regarding to Process Capabilities Cmk/Cpk with QDAS Software qs-STAT
  • AQE engineers are creating prototype and pre-launch control plans incl Safe Launch activities within the Project Team during New Product Development Lifecycle
  • AQE is accountable for 0 incidents approach to avoid related customer complaints (Lesson Learned)
  • AQE supports the Project Core Team for knowledge of Quality Standards within organization (preparation of internal/external Audits, APQP trainings, quality mindset)
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a comparable technical qualification with relevant professional experience
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English, with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels
  • Strong assertiveness and influencing skills when working with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various internal functions within the Core Team as well as with external customers
  • Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to systematically investigate issues, identify root causes, and drive sustainable corrective actions
  • Experience in complaint handling and quality issue management throughout the product lifecycle
  • Strong conflict management skills and the ability to handle challenging situations in a professional and solution-oriented manner
  • Confidence in audit situations, including preparation, participation, and follow-up activities
  • High willingness to learn and continuously develop both professionally and personally
  • Ability and motivation to quickly adapt to and learn new methodologies, standards, processes, and technologies
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple topics simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for assigned responsibilities and projects
  • High level of resilience and ability to perform effectively under pressure and in demanding situationsT
