Brewer Morris is seeking a technically strong Accounting Manager based in Munich to own the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for the German entity. You will establish robust controls, partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors, and drive improvements as the business scales.
You will lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close, manage the close calendar and ensure accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring robust financial operations, leading the close process, and supporting the business as it continues to scale.
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of the day-to-day accounting activities and financial reporting processes, while helping to establish best-in-class controls and procedures across the German entity.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with German GAAP (HGB).
Managing the full financial close calendar, coordinating with business stakeholders and ensuring all journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations are completed.
Preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheet, profit & loss, and cash flow reporting.
Delivering high-quality financial analysis, identifying key variances, trends, and areas of risk.
Managing treasury activities, including cash flow monitoring, payment preparation, and accounts receivable oversight.
Driving working capital performance and supporting cash management initiatives.
Acting as the primary point of contact for external accounting providers, auditors, and tax advisors.
Supporting statutory reporting and ensuring compliance with local accounting and tax requirements.
Reviewing VAT and corporate tax filings prepared by external advisors.
Leading the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
Developing and enhancing e-invoicing procedures to improve efficiency, compliance, and reporting accuracy.
Supporting broader finance transformation and international projects as the organisation continues to grow.

You will ideally have:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
3 to 5+ years’ accounting and finance experience.
Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB).
Experience independently managing monthly accounting and reporting cycles.
Native-level German and fluent English language skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Strong attention to detail and a process-improvement mindset.
Experience working with ERP/accounting systems such as Datev, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar platforms.
