To fuel our growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join our team and support us on this exciting journey. The Hamburg Finance Team also oversees the accounting and financial controlling needs of both our Netherlands branch in Rotterdam.

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare and take responsibility for the financial reporting Local GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with all HQ policies, company standards, local laws, governmental regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
• Continuously analyse financials and independently identify relevant drivers as well as financial optimization potential (e.g. business management evaluations).
• Focus on the development of accounting quality, ensuring reliable internal control systems, and supporting external and internal auditors.
• Prepare ongoing financial reports, including budgets and rolling forecasts (RFC).
• Support or manage the month-end closing process and reporting to HQ.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely registration and reconciliation of all business transactions.
• Manage accounts receivable collection and accounts payable payment.
• Oversee external tax consulting and payroll services.

Your Profile

• A broadly experienced accounting expert with flexible and hands-on mentality.
• A degree in business administration, finance, or a comparable qualification (e.g. certified accountant).
• A minimum of 5 years of qualified work experience.
• Ideally, experience in freight forwarding, transportation, and logistics.
• Experience with IFRS is a plus
• Extensive knowledge of SAP FC and DATEV preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Fluent in English and German, Dutch is a plus.
• An independent and structured working style, with the ability to understand complex contexts.
• Strong social skills and reliable nature.
