The Role: Senior Accountant (m/f/d)

Are you an accountant who loves getting into the details, solving problems, and making things better? We're looking for someone who takes ownership, identifies and corrects errors, and enjoys working with data. You should feel at home in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Excel and be ready to take an active role in shaping our finance processes.

What You'll Do

• Manage and post accounts payable, receivable, bank transactions, and revenue
• Identify and correct booking errors – even in large data sets
• Take ownership of account reconciliations, accruals, and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (for both individual entities and the group)
• Support and further develop our ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Work closely with external tax advisors and auditors
• Actively contribute to the optimization and automation of accounting processes and workflows
• Use Excel to analyze, validate, and efficiently process high volumes of financial data

What You Bring

• Completed commercial training with additional qualification as a certified accountant or a degree in business administration
• At least 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, ideally with full operational responsibility for day-to-day accounting (AR, AP, banking, general ledger)
• In-depth experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / Navision – this is a must-have
• Hands-on mindset – you enjoy cleaning up accounts, challenging existing processes, and implementing smarter ones
• A structured, precise, and independent working style – you don’t wait for direction, you take action
• High initiative and the drive to implement solutions, not just suggest them
• Strong analytical skills and a passion for working with numbers and large datasets
• Proficient in Excel – especially for data validation, analysis, and mass processing
• A team player who embraces change and uses modern tools with confidence

Nice to Have

• Experience working in fast-growing, dynamic, mid-sized companies
• Confident handling of accounting across multiple entities, locations, or ledgers
• Familiarity with private equity environments and their reporting, speed, and transparency expectations
• Experience with intercompany reconciliation and group consolidation processes
