Zusammenfassung

BW Water, now part of De Nora Water Technologies, is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant (m/f/d) to join our Finance team in Klipphausen, Germany. You will ensure accurate financial accounting in line with HGB and internal policies, supporting the full accounting cycle from daily bookkeeping to closing and reporting.

The role requires solid accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and fluency in German and English.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, IHK-certified accountant or comparable qualification.
• Experience in accounting, finance and audit.
• Solid knowledge of HGB (IFRS is a plus).
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Dynamics365Business Central).
• Strong Excel skills.
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).

Aufgaben

• Handle daily bookkeeping (invoices, bank transactions and journal entries).
• Support AP/AR and maintain accurate records in the ERP system.
• Perform account reconciliations (GL, bank, vendors and customers).
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closings (HGB).
• Prepare accruals, prepayments and journal entries.
• Assist with P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor project costs, revenues and profitability.
• Support project invoicing and correct financial allocation.
• Support fixed assets and intercompany accounting.
• Assist with accruals, provisions and estimates.
• Ensure compliance with accounting, tax and VAT regulations.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Maintain data accuracy in ERP systems.
• Contribute to process improvements and cross-functional collaboration.

At BW Water, now part of De Nora Water Technologies, within the De Nora Group, we are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant (m/f/d) to join our Finance team, based in Klipphausen, Germany. In this role, you will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial accounting in accordance with local GAAP (HGB) and internal company policies. You will support the full accounting cycle, from daily bookkeeping to financial closing and reporting activities.

Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Handle daily bookkeeping (invoices, bank transactions and journal entries)
• Support AP/AR and maintain accurate records in the ERP system
• Perform account reconciliations (GL, bank, vendors and customers)

Financial Closing & Reporting
