We're in search of an Accountant (f/m/d) who can play a pivotal role in creating, what we believe, will be the first MMO of its kind. Please note that this is a 12 month fixed term.

Who will you be working with?

You will be part of our Finance Team, you'll play a key role in supporting the entire studio by transforming financial data into actionable insights, fueling company success, and ensuring a strong financial foundation! This team works from our Berlin Office.

What will you be doing?
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: Process vendor invoices and payments (AP) and support customer billing, collections (AR) and payments in Workday, ensuring accuracy, proper authorization, and timely execution.
  • Monitor Revenues: Reconcile and report player-level microtransactions and platform revenues across multiple payment providers.
  • Support Financial Transactions: Address inquiries from employees, management, and vendors related to invoices, expenses, and payments.
  • Month-End Closing: Handle month-end activities, including preparing and posting journal entries for accurate financial reporting.
  • Reconciliation & Compliance: Reconcile AP and AR related accounts, enforce compliance with organizational policies, and support audits with necessary documentation.
  • Contribute to Process Improvement: Participate in finance projects, assist in updating policies, and contribute to ongoing process enhancements.
You could be the person we are searching for if you have…
  • Experience: 1–2 years in accounting, ideally with exposure to both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Revenue Knowledge: Basic understanding of revenue recognition principles, particularly for digital products, microtransactions, and subscription or virtual currency models.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in digital accounting workflows, with a strong grasp of cloud ERPs (Workday Financials is a plus).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with good IT literacy, especially in Google Suite, and quick to learn new tools.
