What You’ll Do

• Financial Accounting and Daily Business (Main focus):
  • Independently managing accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Processing incoming and outgoing invoices as well as bank and payment transactions
  • Posting all routine business transactions to the general ledger
  • Executing and monitoring payment transactions for the GmbH and the holding company
  • Reconciling general ledger accounts and accounts receivable and accounts payable summary accounts with subsidiary ledgers
• Financial Statements and Reporting:
  • Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and US GAAP
  • Preparing and formatting reporting packages for the US holding company
  • Recognition and recording accruals and provisions under both accounting standards
  • Ensure data consistency between the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
• Intercompany and International Accounting:
  • Execution and reconciliation of intercompany balances within the international group
  • Posting and monitoring of intercompany transactions
  • Processing of transactions in foreign currencies, including valuation
• Process Optimization and Systems:
  • Analysis and continuous improvement of existing accounting processes
  • Identification and implementation of automation opportunities
  • Administrator for Expensify (separate travel expense reporting tool)
  • Collaboration on ERP optimizations and system enhancements

What We’re Looking For

• Completed apprenticeship in business administration with additional training in accounting (e.g., certified accountant (m/f/d), financial accountant (m/f/d), tax clerk (m/f/d)) or comparable
• Several years of professional experience in financial accounting
• In-depth knowledge of the German Accounting Standard (HGB); practical knowledge of US GAAP is a plus
• Experience working in an international environment
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
• Basic knowledge of tax law (payroll tax) is a plus
• Several years of experience working with ERP systems
• A strong interest in the digitalization and automation of financial processes
• A structured, precise, and independent work style
• Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of processes
• Strong communication skills in an international setting
• Ability to work in a team and a hands-on approach
