Raumtechnik Messebau & Event Services GmbH is seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to support monthly closings, VAT compliance, and accurate financial reporting. You will collaborate cross-functionally and help maintain German GAAP compliance for our international operations.

• Solid knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and VAT including EC Sales Lists and USt-VA.

What you bring with you:

• Commercial background/degree with a focus on accounting; ideally an advanced certification as a Certified Senior Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter)
• Several years of professional experience in financial accounting
• Solid knowledge of German GAAP (HGB), VAT law (domestic, EU, third countries), including advance VAT returns (USt-VA) and EC Sales Lists (ZM)
• Proficiency with ERP systems (ideally NetSuite), Excel/Google Sheets, and Document Management Systems (DMS)
• Strong affinity for numbers, independence, accuracy, and strong communication skills
• Very good English skills for international coordination

• Petty cash management and recording of cash receipts
• Expense reports & travel expenses processed according to tax law regulations
• Fixed asset management: Supporting the valuation of fixed assets and the fixed asset schedule
• Closing activities: Active involvement in monthly and annual financial statements according to German GAAP (HGB), including accruals and provisions
• Tax support: Competent assistance with corporate tax matters
• Intercompany accounting: International coordination and collaboration across the corporate group
