Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking tutors who are currently enrolled MD or DO students in good standing to support IllinoisCOM students. You will complete onboarding, prepare for sessions, and provide virtual tutoring from a private, professional environment with reliable internet.

You will clarify and review concepts, explain processes, help students solve problems, document attendance, and maintain confidentiality. You will foster a respectful, inclusive learning space and participate in ongoing

Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled and in good standing as a second-, third-, or fourth-year student at an accredited MD or DO granting medical school.
• Demonstrated proficiency in each course or subject area the applicant will tutor.
• Must be in good academic and professional standing and maintain this standing throughout employment.
• Demonstrated mastery of the subject area through relevant coursework, professional experience, faculty recommendation, or other credentials approved by IllinoisCOM.
• Ability to provide virtual tutoring from a private, professional environment with reliable internet access and appropriate audio and video capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and comprehension skills.
• Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information.
• Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage professional and interpersonal relationships and interact effectively with diverse members of the institutional community and outside constituencies.
• Proficiency in data entry and use of the required database system.

Aufgaben

• Complete required tutor training and onboarding before providing tutoring services
• Prepare for and facilitate individual and/or group tutoring sessions
• Support currently enrolled IllinoisCOM students with academic success strategies

• Protect the confidentiality and integrity of examinations, student information, and course materials
• Apply study techniques addressing different learning needs, styles, and preferences
• Use active listening, questioning, inquiry, curiosity, and collaborative learning to diagnose needs and monitor progress
• Foster a professional and welcoming environment respectful of students’ diverse backgrounds, cultures, language skills, and experiences
• Participate in professional development and use feedback and reflection to improve practice
• Provide direct assistance with equipment, learning objects, and materials needed for student success
• Make appropriate referrals to campus and community resources when necessary
• Communicate with students in a direct and supportive manner
