Currently, 3, students are enrolled at six Schools. The university offers future-oriented courses in economics, computer science, media and design, engineering, social, legal and therapeutic sciences as well as psychology. We are looking for an Academic Employee (f / m / d) with a focus on teaching for our new Campus in Hamburg to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis. The position is initially limited to two years.

Your duties :

• Competence-oriented teaching at the Master's level in English, in the particular field of handling large amounts of data and machine learning, natural language processing and deep learning
• Supervision of case studies, internships and master thesis projects
• Willingness to provide intensive support to students in their respective case studies each semester
• Handling and maintaining the data infrastructure
• Participation in the further development of the study program and in academic self-administration.
• Supervision of research projects and master's theses in the aforementioned areas.

Your profile :

• Completed university studies (Master of Science or doctorate is desired) in a professionally related field.
• Experience in teaching and research in applied data science as well as openness to new technologies
• Practical knowledge with teaching experience with programming languages such as Python, R
• Experience with tools like Tableau, OpenRefine
• Relevant publications in these areas
• Independent and responsible way of working
• Very good English skills, high intercultural and social competence
