RIEDEL is seeking a 5G Software Integration Engineer (m/f/d) to coordinate wireless tech integration across the product platform in our German facility. You will enable interoperability among hardware, firmware and software, and act as a technical focal point between RF, Software, and Hardware teams.

You should have a Master’s degree and hands-on experience with embedded, distributed systems, Kotlin and C++, plus CI/CD and test automation expertise.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in a technical field such as CS, telecoms or systems engineering.
• Experience with embedded, distributed, and communication-driven systems in a system integration or engineering role.
• Proven expertise in software integration, system engineering, and end-to-end system validation.
• Good understanding of mobile communication technologies, networking concepts, and Linux-based environments.
• Experience with Kotlin and C++ as well as system-level debugging and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks, CI/CD processes, and modern software development practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• You coordinate the integration of wireless technologies into the overall product platform, ensuring seamless interaction between all system components.
• You ensure interoperability between hardware, firmware, and software throughout the development lifecycle.
• You act as a technical focal point, facilitating collaboration between RF, Software, Hardware, and Product teams.
• You drive the resolution of complex technical issues and support root cause analysis across engineering disciplines.
• You support system qualification, validation, and release readiness activities to ensure product quality and reliability.
• You maintain and enhance system-level documentation, including architecture, interfaces, and integration concepts.
• You contribute to system integration, test automation, and CI/CD processes to improve development efficiency and product stability.
• You identify technical risks early and support mitigation activities throughout the project lifecycle.

THATS YOU

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline
• Experience with complex embedded, distributed, and communication-driven systems in a system integration or engineering role
• Proven expertise in software integration, system engineering, and end-to-end system validation
• Good understanding of mobile communication technologies, networking concepts, and Linux-based environments
• Experience with Kotlin and C++ as well as system-level debugging and troubleshooting methodologies
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks, CI/CD processes, and modern software development practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex cross-functional technical challenges
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in international development teams; fluent English required, German is a plus
