Strike Group is seeking a 3rd Year Apprentice Pipefitter at our Christina Lake project site in Alberta. You will assist journeypersons with equipment installation, pipefitting, and module assembly, while gaining hands-on experience in industrial plant construction.

Rotation is 8/6 with camp accommodations provided and a $300/shift travel allowance. The role emphasizes safety and adherence to Strike's Code of Conduct and Values to ensure a respectful, inclusive work environment.

Qualifikationen

• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be a registered 3rd year Apprentice with the appropriate provincial or federal authority.

• Assist journeyperson pipefitters with installation of equipment, pipe, and structural steel on site.
• Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages.
• Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging.
• Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility.
• Measure, cut, and thread pipe to required shape.
• Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems.
• Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems.

POSITION SUMMARY

Apprentice Pipefitters possess the full range of knowledge required to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems.

Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety” and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness.

PROJECT DETAILS

• Site is at the Cenovus Christina Lake North plant north of Conklin, AB
• 8/6 rotation
• $300/shift travel allowance
• Camp accommodations provided

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assist journeyperson pipefitters with the installation of equipment, pipe, and structural steel on site

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Must be a registered 3rd year Apprentice with the appropriate provincial or federal authority

Training

• Must have or be willing to obtain valid H2S Alive and CSTS 2020 or PST tickets - CSTS 09 and CSO/BSO will not be accepted
