Zusammenfassung

Health Innovation University of Applied Sciences sucht am Berliner Studienzentrum eine/n Programmdirektor/in. Die Stelle ist sofort zu besetzen, zunächst auf 2 Jahre befristet, mit Aussicht auf Festanstellung.

Zu den Aufgaben gehören Lehre, Forschungsaktivität und die Entwicklung eines geplanten Bachelor-Studiengangs. Sie betreuen internationale Studierende, fördern die Zusammenarbeit mit dem International Office und bauen Partnerschaften auf sowie sichern externe Fördermittel.

Qualifikationen

• Pflegewissenschaftlicher Abschluss oder vergleichbare Qualifikation.
• Doktortitel oder gleichwertige wissenschaftliche Qualifikation im relevanten Bereich.
• Deutschkenntnisse auf hohem Niveau sowie Englischkenntnisse für internationale Lehre und Forschung.

Aufgaben

• Vertretung der Abteilung in Lehre und Forschung in Englisch.
• Lehre in verwandten Studiengängen und Mitwirkung an der geplanten Bachelor-Studiengang-Entwicklung.
• Beratung internationaler Studierender in Zusammenarbeit mit dem International Office.
• Betreuung von Abschlussarbeiten und Praktikumsphasen, sowie Beratung von Bewerberinnen und Bewerbern.
• Aufbau und Pflege von Partnerschaften und Netzwerken sowie Mitwirkung bei externen Forschungsfördermitteln.

Where: Health Innovation University of Applied Sciences
Location: Brebacher Weg 15, Building 2, 12683 Berlin
Starting: Starting in the summer semester of 2027, initially for a fixed term of 2 years (with the prospect of a permanent position)
Scope: Full-time, 39 hours per week

Aufgaben

We are looking for you for ourBerlin study center. The position is available immediately and is initially limited to 2 years, though we aim for permanent employment.
Responsibilities:

• Representing the department in teaching (18 SWS for full-time) and research in English
• Willingness to teach in related degree programs at the university
• Helping to develop and teach in the planned bachelor’s program
• Advising international students in close collaboration with the International Office
• Supervising students’ theses and, where applicable, supervising internship phases
• Advising prospective students and conducting informational and admissions interviews
• Establishing and maintaining partnerships and networks
• Actively shaping opportunities for collaboration with the institutions of the Health Campus at ukb (e.V.)
• Participating in university committees
• Engaging in research and publication activities and representing the university in the scientific community
• Securing external funding and contributing to the university’s research profile
• Willingness to travel to other study centers due to the university’s decentralized structure
• Program accreditations; you will be supported in this by the “QM and Accreditations” unit of the university administration

Aufgaben bei Übernahme

Upon assuming the role of program director, you will also be responsible for:

• the ongoing academic and curricular development of the program in line with current developments, research, publications, and trends in academia, professional practice, and society, and representing the programs within the academic community

Profil

You are committed to excellence in academic quality in teaching and research

• Interest and enthusiasm for educating and supporting young people
• Willingness to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration
• A relevant college degree in nursing or nursing science, or a professional certification as a state-licensed nurse with a relevant college degree
• A relevant doctoral degree relevant to the advertised position
• At least 5 years of professional experience (with complete documentation); of which at least 3 years must have been outside the higher education sector (see hiring requirements for a professorship pursuant to § 100(1) of the Berlin Higher Education Act (BerlHG))
• Pedagogical aptitude demonstrated by proven teaching experience at a university, preferably in nursing education
• Expertise in one of the two areas of specialization: “Mental Health Nursing” or “Geriatric Nursing”
• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, and the ICF
• Demonstrated scientific expertise through peer-reviewed publications and presentations
• Very good English proficiency, demonstrated through teaching experience, academic work in English, international publications, or equivalent professional experience; alternatively, through a bachelor’s degree in English
• Proficiency in German is required to assume the role of program director

Desirable

• Continuing education in relevant areas of nursing
• Ideally, experience using simulations in teaching
• Relevant experience in research projects and in securing external funding
• Experience using digital learning technologies in higher education
• Instruction is conducted in English; if you do not have any knowledge of German, we welcome your interest in gradually acquiring basic German language skills
