Job summary

WSP in Bogotá, Colombia, is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join the Mine Water Team. You will contribute to hydraulic design, water balance studies, and mine water management on local and international projects.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Canada and beyond, mentor junior staff, prepare technical reports, and support proposals while working in a flexible, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in Water Resources Engineering or related fields.
• P.Eng. designation or actively pursuing registration.
• Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead technical activities related to water resources engineering and mine water management projects.
• Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, including water balance assessments, flood studies, and dam breach evaluations.
• Develop and review designs for water diversions, channels, culverts, spillways, and water control structures.
• Conduct hydraulic and streamflow evaluations for mining and infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Canada and internationally.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and client deliverables.
