Job summary

Atomic HR is seeking a Technical SEO Lead to own technical SEO across a portfolio of higher education partner accounts. You’ll run audits, write dev-ready specifications, and drive fixes end-to-end, while shaping Claude-based tools to scale the SEO service.

You’ll collaborate with the SEO Lead and support the Executive Director of SEO, owning outcomes across many accounts and guiding AI-assisted workflows for audits, reporting, and content production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO with at least 3 focused on technical SEO
• Proven ability to prioritize issues and drive fixes across multiple sites
• Hands-on experience with GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs/SEMrush
• Strong WordPress knowledge to spec fixes precisely

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts
• Run technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links
• Write dev-ready specs for web developers and client teams and follow through to fixes
• Handle light WordPress implementation: titles, meta descriptions, redirects, and schema with Yoast/Rank Math
• Monitor Search Console and GA4 to catch drops and indexing issues
• Own technical readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO) with structured data and content structure
• Design and build Claude-based tools and workflows for audits, prioritization, reporting, and QA
• Translate team standards into reusable systems and document them
• Connect Search Console, GA4, crawl exports, and Ahrefs/Semrush into workflows
• Document systems and train the team to measure time saved and results improved
• Join client calls on deep technical topics with SEO Lead
• Evaluate emerging search technologies and recommend new tools and workflows
