Job summary

Amadeus is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join our global Platform SRE team. You will drive reliability, availability, and performance for revenue-generating production systems and work with software engineers and infra teams to improve observability and automation.

You will lead incident response, perform root cause analysis, and shape platform maturity through strategic initiatives in a follow-the-sun model. Hybrid work is available and learning opportunities abound.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience supporting large-scale production environments in a 24x7 operational setting.
Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
Experience troubleshooting web and application server technologies such as Apache, IIS, Tomcat, JBoss.
Experience with monitoring and observability platforms.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Shell, Ruby, or similar languages.

Responsibilities

Ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and stability of critical production systems.
Lead incident response activities and coordinate resolution of service-impacting events.
Investigate and resolve availability, latency, performance, and operational efficiency issues.
Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Participate in on-call rotations and emergency incident response activities.
Maintain and improve monitoring, alerting, and observability platforms.
Design, develop, and maintain operational automation solutions.
Serve as a SME for assigned applications, platforms, and tools.
