Virtasant is seeking a Staff-level backend-first Product Engineer to evolve our multi-cloud FinOps platform into broader AI cost intelligence capabilities. You will own distributed data systems, process cloud billing and usage data, design scalable data models, and extend AI visibility from aggregate spend to attribution.

Formación

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend focus.
• Experience with data-intensive backend systems and pipelines.
• Ability to design scalable systems from concept through production.
• Experience with AI driven development to accelerate product development.
• Hands-on experience building on AWS.
• Demonstrated experience using AI in production systems.
• Comfortable working in ambiguity with product-led direction.
• Architect backend services supporting asynchronous workflows and event-driven pipelines.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build backend-heavy platform features for our platform.
• Productionalise AI-enabled capabilities (e.g., anomaly detection, recommendations, agent-based workflows).
• Implement AI across the SDLC - prototyping, testing, iteration, and deployment.
• Design and build distributed data pipelines processing cloud billing, usage, and AI telemetry.
• Build reliable systems handling backfills, late-arriving data, and reprocessing.
• Design scalable data models and APIs powering analytics and AI cost insights.
• Collaborate with Product to turn vision into shipped features.
• Identify blockers early and iterate fast.
• Help shape engineering standards as the product matures.
• Define how AI capabilities mature into durable product features with guardrails.
