BairesDev is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to lead backend AI features end-to-end, building LangGraph flows and RAG pipelines while staying hands-on alongside a Principal Engineer. This is your opportunity to lead technically while unblocking engineers and shaping production LLM systems.

You will own evaluation coverage, collaborate with a senior team, and contribute to scalable, secure cloud architectures in a 100% remote, highly flexible environment.

Formación

• 8+ years of Python experience.
• Production LLM systems experience beyond prototypes.
• Hands-on with LangChain and LangGraph incl. agent flows, tool invocation and state management.
• Experience building RAG pipelines over structured and unstructured data.
• Experience with LLM evaluation and tracing (LangSmith, LLM-as-judge, golden datasets).
• 4+ years React/Next.js and TypeScript.
• MCP server development against structured databases and data lakes.
• Streaming agent interactions using LangGraph API and WebSockets.
• CI/CD pipelines and service observability (logging, tracing, SLOs).
• Distributed systems, microservices, REST/GraphQL on AWS.
• Strong prompt engineering skills.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Staff AI Engineer at BairesDev

In this role, you'll lead backend AI features end to end, owning a component of a larger body of work alongside a Principal Engineer and a tech lead. Staying hands-on throughout, you'll build LangGraph flows and RAG pipelines while holding evaluation coverage on everything you ship. This is your opportunity to lead technically while remaining deeply hands-on, unblocking engineers in your pod and shaping how production LLM systems are built, maintained, and evolved over time.

What You'll Do

• Lead and own backend AI features end to end, breaking down and delivering complex work.

What We Are Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in Python.
• Proven experience building, maintaining, and evolving production LLM systems, not just zero-to-one projects.
• Hands‑on experience with LangChain and LangGraph, including agent flows, tool and skill invocation, and state management.
• Experience building RAG pipelines over structured and unstructured data.
• Experience with LLM evaluation and tracing, including LangSmith, LLM-as-judge, and golden datasets.
• 4+ years of experience with React/Next.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with MCP server development against structured databases and data lakes.
• Experience with streaming agent interactions, including LangGraph API and WebSockets.
• Background with CI/CD pipelines and service observability, including logging, tracing, and SLOs.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and REST/GraphQL on AWS.
• Strong prompt engineering skills, iterating against measured output.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Nice To Have

• Experience with model gateway and routing such as Bedrock or LiteLLM.
• Familiarity with agent‑to‑agent communication patterns (A2A).
• Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, Qdrant, or pgvector.
• Security mindset, including secure coding and AuthN/AuthZ practices.
• Analytics and data visualization experience.
• Experience with ServiceNow or enterprise workflow integration.
